Before leaving Seoul in Korea last week, I got a few hours to visit the city and tried to take in as much of the sights as possible, even with the looming rain clouds. My first stop was the Gyeongbokgung Palace, which was actually very close to my hotel. It was very interesting some architectural similarities between Korean and Chinese architecture, but also some different styles. My favorite parts were some of the buildings where most of the wooden structure remains unpainted.
